Your audio projects require their own individual attention. There are no cookie cutter ways of making your recordings compatible with the various formats of VO jobs and projects out there. I offer everything from editing, proofing, mastering, and consulting on your space and mic technique, to teaching you how to do everything yourself.

Proofing

Mastering

You have recorded your script. You worry that you might have made some errors while recording, be that a mispronunciation, stumble over a word, mouth noise, lengthy pauses, or a truck drove by (LOUDLY) and you worry that the mic picked it up. While I will not be doing any engineering on the file, I will listen through it and send you back a detailed list (with time stamps) so you can go back in and clean up those errors.

This is a more detailed form of proofing than an AI proofing app is capable of, as I also include technical errors that would not be picked up by that app.

You have a finalized piece of audio, but can't get it to fulfill your clients specifications. I run it through some settings and filters to bring it up to those specifications. This includes ACX. This does not include proofing of sound (mouth noise, technical recording errors, ambience, extraneous pauses, etc).

Editing

Sound Consulting

You have recorded (Excellent!). Now you want to get rid of breaths, mouth clicks, and other bonks that appear here and there because, let's face it, we're all human and these things happen. This also includes mastering your files to the specifications you need to submit them.

I offer two packages*:

1) Punch-recorded audio: You have already gone through your recording and fixed any goofs by punching and rolling. All I'm listening for is clicks and breaths.

$100 PFH

2) Non-Punch-recorded audio: You have only recorded, and either put in corrections immediately after a mistake, or you want me to listen for mistakes while following along, and will re-record sections as needed.

$150 PFH

*both packages include a 10 minute zoom and evaluation of your recording space so I can verify how your recordings will sound and address any issues before recording begins.

Maybe you're new to VO. Maybe you've upgraded your set up. Maybe you've moved and need to readjust everything. A second ear is always a great asset to those first sound tests.

Several packages available:

1) I will listen to your sample and give feedback on anything that can be improved on.

$25

2) I will listen to your samples, zoom with you to see your set up, even watch you record something to help with your mic technique. I specialize in low budget booths (I live and work in NYC - so I know how to make a small apartment work for a studio).

$100 for a 1 hr consultation

3) I come to your studio, and we go through all of Package #2 in person.

4) You want to learn how to do your own engineering for audiobooks, including dealing with their constantly aggravating QC settings. I will teach you how to use your DAW, help you develop a work flow, and introduce you to various programs that will help you out.

$150 per 1 hr session online
